About Dr. DesChamps
Dr. DesChamps is originally from Bishopville, SC but has lived in Columbia since joining The Columbia Medical Group in 2003.

Dr. DesChamps has been in practice since 1985 and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He attended the University of South Carolina obtaining a B.S. in Biology. He continued his education at the University School of Medicine receiving his M.D. and completed a residency in internal medicine.
Dr. DesChamps has been the State Medical Director for DHEC’s Division of Emergency Medical Services since 1995. He has also practiced emergency medicine in Columbia hospitals. Dr. DesChamps is an NCQA Recognized Physician.
