We use x-rays to take multiple pictures of your internal bones and organs to diagnose cancers, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, trauma and musculoskeletal disorders.
Carotid Duplex Scanning
We use an ultrasound and Doppler technology to take images of the carotid arteries in your neck.

Dr. Moore-Bowens is the best internist I’ve ever been to. She gives me time to express my concerns and then, she tells me how to handle those concerns and she is on target every time. If my body doesn’t tolerate a prescribed medication, she has another option for me. She shows concern for me and is always caring. I am 75 years old and I hope she will be my primary doctor as long as I am alive!
This was my first visit with this medical practice and doctor. Previous experiences with my last health care provider have left me feeling left behind. But the people at the Columbia Medical Group have brought back my belief that people do still care. They were all professional, courteous and always had my well being as their priority. This is a great place for me and everyone from the receptionist to the doctor are just what I have been missing in my health care. In all my doctor visits, I have never received such great care. Dr. Moore was very attentive and knowledgeable about my health. He is very well educated but beyond that he has common sense which I think is very important in his profession. As soon as seven days before an appointment, you can complete eCheck-in through MyChart. You can update information and electronically sign documents before your appointment to make the check-in process faster.
Arrive 15 minutes before your appointment.
Come early to update any necessary information. If you arrive more than 10 minutes after your appointment time, we may ask you to reschedule.
Let us know as soon as possible if you have to cancel.
Please do your best to cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment. If you cancel three times without advance notice, we may dismiss you from our practice.
Payment will be due at the time of your appointment.
Payment is due the day of service, including copayments, coinsurance and any other charges. If your care isn't covered by insurance, you are entitled to a 50% discount.

Prescription Refills
Call and leave a message with your name, date of birth, prescription and strength, along with your doctor’s name and your pharmacy’s name and number. Allow one to two business days for us to process the refill. We won't contact you about the request unless there is a problem.
We cannot refill some prescriptions.
You may be required to see your provider before we can refill your medication. We also do not accept refill requests from local or mail-order pharmacies—you must request these refills.
Lab/Test Results
You can receive timely notifications and view lab results from tests you’ve had done through MyChart. Test results should be available within 7 to 10 business days.
Allow up to 7 days for your referral to go through. Once it does, our office or the specialist's office will call you with your appointment information. If you make your own appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so we can obtain any prior authorizations that may be required.
Forms
Due to the volume of forms we process, please allow up to 10 business days for us to complete them. There may also be a charge for completing your form, or your provider may require that you come in for an office visit for assistance in completing your form.
Immunization Records
Please allow up to two business days on all immunization record requests. If you must call our office for an immunization record, you may be asked to leave a message with the patient’s name, birth date, and contact phone number.
School/Work Excuses
School/work excuses will be issued at the provider’s discretion only when the patient has had an appointment.
Questions for Your Care Team
You can exchange messages with your providers and read doctor’s notes from recent visits in MyChart. Keep messages short and to the point. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
After hours there will be an on-call provider who will be available for urgent needs that cannot wait until the next business day. If an emergency occurs after hours, please have paper, pencil and pharmacy phone number available. Prescription refills will not be handled by the on-call provider nor will pain medications, controlled substances or antibiotics be prescribed to your pharmacy.
