About Dr. Norton

Dr. Norton has experience in a wide variety of surgical procedures, including advanced techniques in vascular, endovascular, thoracic, laparoscopic and general surgery. He also has extensive post-graduate training, including AneuRx™ graft training, the Arizona Hearth Institute endovascular training, the Cordis® endovascular course, the Cook-Zenith® endograft training course, the Sanctuary of Endovascular therapy training, the VNUS™ vein therapy course, Duke University’s minimally invasive thoracic surgery course, and the Medical College of Georgia’s minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid course.

A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Norton is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the International Society of Endovascular Surgeons, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, the South Carolina Medical Association, the Lexington Medical Association, Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and the Society for Vascular Ultrasound.

Background

Dr. Norton is a West Columbia, South Carolina native. An honors graduate of Lexington High School, he attended the University of South Carolina Honors College in Columbia and earned his medical degree from the USC School of Medicine. Dr. Norton then completed a surgical residency and a research fellowship in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery at the East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina.
