Expertise

Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Brodie is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. He has extensive training in diagnostic and surgical care of adults with diseases of the heart, great vessels, lungs, trachea, esophagus, diaphragm, chest wall and mediastinum, as well as minimally invasive cardiac and thoracic surgery and thoracic aortic and valve repair.

Background

Dr. Brodie graduated from Pennsylvania State University in University Park with a bachelor’s degree in biology and received a master’s degree in physiology and biophysics from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He then earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete his general surgery residency at Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware, serving as chief administrative resident, and completed fellowships in surgical critical care at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and in cardiothoracic surgery at Albany Medical Center in New York.
