Dr. Brastauskas provides patients with the highest level of care in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular diseases.

Expertise

Dr. Brastauskas is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery, and the Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Society. He gained extensive experience during his training in all aspects of modern vascular surgery, including open, minimally invasive and non-invasive techniques, complicated aortic pathology, complex endovascular diagnostics and therapeutics, and clinical research.

Background

Dr. Brastauskas graduated cum laude from the University of Indianapolis in Indiana with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. He then completed his general surgery residency at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he served as chief resident. He continued his training with a vascular surgery fellowship at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
