Dr. Van Dam was very friendly and professional. She actually listened to me and took my health concerns seriously. Even though my health issues were not something she treats, she gave me her recommendations on how to proceed and made sure that I knew my health issues were valid and needed treatment. My last comments disappeared. Understands and cares about my problems, offers treatments and suggestions which work or at least help. Don't have to wait a month or more for appointment, responds quickly to questions. Other ortho drs take 4 or more weeks and then don't even try

Dr. Van Dam provides comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients of all ages in the Midlands. She practices at the West Columbia location of Lexington Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine and at Lexington Family Practice Ballentine.
A member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Van Dam is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation with additional certification in electrodiagnostic medicine.

Dr. Van Dam graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Siena College in Loudonville, New York, and earned her medical degree from Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She then completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she also served as chief resident.
She recently cared for patients at Palmetto Bone & Joint in Chapin, South Carolina, and has specific interest in outpatient musculoskeletal orthopaedic services, electrodiagnostic and preventive medicine, and orthopaedic joint and soft tissue injections.
